CC runners qualify for state meet

In Cross Country, CJ’s girls qualified for the state meet with a second-place finish in the Class 3 District 7 meet at Swope Park in Kansas City.

  

Chelo Falkner, Casey Keeling and Lauren Clement led Carl Junction.  Other team members qualifying for state included Candice Aton, Emily Keeter and Morgan Prather.

  

In the boys’ race, Cameron Pittman of Carl Junction qualified for the state meet.

 

The Missouri State Cross Country Championship meet was held Saturday, November 7 in Jefferson City.

 

The Bulldogs' top finisher at the state meet was Casey Keeling, who finished in 125th place among all runners on the girls' side.  Other girls' finishers for CJ were Lauren Clement (138), Morgan Prather (142), Emily Keeter (147) and Sagan Graskemper (157). 

 

Cameron Pittman finished in 147th place on the boys' side.
