Lauren,
a multi-sport athlete who
has also excelled on the
softball diamond and in
track & field, earned her fourth basketball
letter this
season.
She led her team
in several categories
including scoring, where
she averaged 19 points per game this
season and eclipsed the
1,000 career point mark,
finishing with 1,020.
Lauren
set her career-high of 34 points
scored in a game, coming
against Lamar on February
8, 2010.
She scored 30
or more points three times
this season, and had eight
other games of 20 points
or more. Her career
ended with a 28-point
performance against Webb
City, the number-one
ranked team in the state.
As
a senior, Lauren was named
First Team All-Big 8
Conference and
All-District, and was
named the "Co-Player
of the Year" in the
Big 8. She received
her team's "Bulldog
Award" as well as
being named "Team
MVP".
At
the end of her junior
season, Lauren received
several awards including
All-Big 8 Conference,
All-District and All-Area. Lauren averaged a team-high 14.2 points per game as a junior.
She also led the
team in field goal
percentage, 3-point field
goal percentage, assists,
steals and rebounds (8.2
per game). She
received the team's
"Bulldog Award"
and was named "Most
Valuable Player".
